I don’t think we ever cease to be CBAC moms, even if we’ve had a VBAC. The difficulty of that CBAC never leaves us, but it does begin to transform and change. The joy of the VBAC is even more powerful, but you never forget and have empathy and the need to reach out to other CBAC moms.

I look forward to your powerful voice in both areas.

I am so happy for your story! I had had one natural hospital birth, one home birth and two c-sections when we went for our HBA2C. I understand that desire. Ours did not have a happy ending but I do not believe that makes all VBACs a bad idea. I wholeheartedly support home birth in alll situations, and reading stories like yours is so encouraging!

Your CBAC and mine were around the same time – today is actually my son’s second b-day. You encouraged me to find help with my PPD/trauma (bbc), and i did finally seek it, but I commend you for pushing past and having the courage to have another baby. Congratulations on your new baby, your fantastic VBA2C, and thank you for letting others into your life to see that there is light after darkness. Today is a really hard day for me but your story makes me feel better.
